COAC's 2025/26 Annual Report

We are excited to announce that the Central Oregon Avalanche Center's 2025/26 Annual Report is now available!

This year's report reflects a season defined by low snow, but carried by the resilience and dedication of our forecast team and the unwavering support of our community. Inside, you'll find insights on:

  • 180 daily avalanche forecasts across the Central Cascades and Newberry zones, backed by more than 1,500 forecaster hours
  • Two new fully electric snowmobiles added to our field operations, made possible by grant support from the Oregon Clean Fuels Program and Pacific Power
  • Education and outreach highlights, including our 8th annual Bend Snow and Avalanche Workshop and more than 1,000 volunteer hours contributed to forecasting, events, and operations
  • A financial snapshot and recognition of the members, donors, and sponsors who make COAC's work possible

As we look ahead to the 2026/27 season, we invite you to explore the report and see how your support keeps Central Oregon's backcountry community informed and safe.

Thank you for making COAC's mission possible and supporting your local avalanche center.
