Skinned out of a freshly plowed Dutchman parking lot at 2:30. Light winds and blowing snow with temps. in the low 30's. While skinning ski penetration only 6", staying on top of the snowpack. Noticed the top layer (3-5") was wet saturated snow below this layer was lighter snow, you could feel the layer with every pole plant. At the top of Tumalo there was zero ski penetration and a very pronouned upside down snow pack and it was almost raining. Chose to skip the bowl due to the upside down snowpack. Skied the west side down. The top half skied with very little ski penetration, bottom half 3-4".
